Sukrin Low-carb Scones, dairy, egg, yeast, sugar, gluten and wheat free with Sukrin Bread Mix
What a treat! Now you can make your gluten free scones low carb too! Adding cinnamon really gives another dimension to our bread mix: in Scandinavia it’s more usual to add
ground cardamon, so if you want to try that simply split open 4 green cardamon pods, take out the black seeds and grind in a pestle and mortar before adding to the mix. Delicious
served with sugar free jam, or make your own fruit compote with any berries cooked with a little Sukrin Granulated or Sukrin Gold (our all-natural low carb alternatives to sugar) and cooled before spooning on with some half fat creme fråiche (or clotted cream if you’re being naughty).
Preheat the oven to 200ºc. Pour the milk into a bowl, add the bread mix, Sukrin Granulated and cinnamon and mix well.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape with moist hands or two spoons on a baking sheet.
Mark each scone with a cross shape and bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes.
Let the scones cool on the baking sheet so that they stay soft. Serve when cooled with clotted cream and sugar free jam.
